Grants
Introduction

We have Grants of up to $1,500 to bring your idea to life!

Boroondara Youth Foundation provides Grants of up to $1,500 to 12-25-year-old locals who have an idea that will create a positive impact on their local community. We offer young people the opportunity to put their project ideas into action. We have two annual Grant Rounds. Applying for a grant is easy!

The Boroondara Youth Foundation funds youth projects throughout the entire Boroondara municipality, which will impact the local community within. This municipality includes the suburbs of Ashburton, Glen Iris, Camberwell, Canterbury, Hawthorn, Hawthorn East, Surrey Hills, Balwyn, Balwyn North, Kew, Kew East, Deepdene and other adjoining suburbs.

Grant criteria

There are three elements of the criteria:

They can be groups or individuals from local schools, tertiary institutions, community groups, not-for-profits & social enterprises.

2. Projects must be youth-led.

3. Projects must be ‘community-focused’ and clearly benefit the youth of Boroondara via its impact.

Application process
Assistance in completing the application can be provided by our Program Facilitator (byf@supportingourcommunity.com.au) at request. We can visit you or your group to ‘brainstorm’ project ideas throughout the year.
