Passionate about making a difference? You're in the right place.
Have you ever had an idea that you can't shake? Or seen a need in your community, and felt like you should you do something about it?
Boroondara Youth Foundation is committed to supporting your idea in a tangible way, through grants of up to $1,500. With this funding, you and your team of young changemakers can make your idea a reality. Whether it's a food van with all profits going towards youth homelessness, a week dedicated to promoting mental health during exams or a hot water urn for your school's breakfast club, Boroondara Youth Foundation wants to help you make a difference. That's why our organisation exists. Pretty cool, right?
Last year, Boroondara Youth Foundation funded three grants, two of those being for high schools in the Boroondara and surrounding areas. These projects were led by teams of young people, empowered by the Foundation to pursue positive change in their respective communities. In the coming weeks we will be posting some interviews from people impacted by past projects, funded by Boroondara Youth Foundation, and you will hear about the positive outcomes of these $1,500 ideas.
Have you been inspired to give it a go?

Meet Natalie Klenner, a 20-something changemaker, who works with the Boroondara Youth Foundation to inspire young people to become more involved in their community. She's all about that social enterprise life, and she's here to tell you why...
As promised, here is the interview with BYF's facilitator herself; Natalie Klenner! Keep reading for a bit of an insight into why she does what she does, and what inspires and keeps her going on a daily basis (and no, it's not just our awesome insta account @boroondara_youth).
So to kick off the interview, please tell us a bit about yourself!
I am a dreamer, an optimist and someone who is always forming a plan! I'm passionate about using social enterprise and business to qualitatively and sustainably change lives. I'm also passionate about inspiring young people to become leaders, and be the change they wish to see in the world. In my spare time I love to read, listen to music and ride my bike to the Abottsford Convent
